1.
Inspect your water heater every 6 months and always
watch for Leaks. Be alert of anything that does not look or
sound normal.
2. Flush and drain the water heater per manufacturers recommendation.
Remove any Hard Water Build-up that may have accumulated.
3. Test your Temperature & Pressure relief valve which
is either located on the top or side of the water heater.
Be sure to be careful when you pull the lever, as water can
be very hot and, if the drain was installed incorrectly, serious
damage can be done to your home or to you!
4. Water heater pans help to minimize damage to your home.
Make sure you don’t have one, that you add one when
you replace it.
5. Always follow manufacturer’s instructions on setting
your temperature(s).
6. You can find and download most manufacturers manuals online
by searching for the name and model number.
